Historic Fort Logan Reroof

When a building has stood for more than a century, its roof deserves craftsmanship that respects that history. Premier Restoration & Construction was proud to complete a full roof replacement on DHS Building 87, one of the historic brick structures on the Fort Logan campus in southwest Denver.

This was a large-scale commercial reroof with the added care a heritage building demands. Our crew stripped the existing roof down to the bare wood decking, installed high-performance synthetic underlayment for lasting weather protection, and finished the long, steep-slope structure with durable architectural asphalt shingles built to stand up to Colorado’s hail, wind, and sun. Throughout the project, our team worked carefully around the building’s original chimneys, cupola, and dormer details to preserve the character that makes Building 87 a landmark.

From tear-off to the final ridge cap, every stage reflected the Mile High standards Premier is known for—quality materials, a skilled and safety-first crew, and a finished roof designed to protect this piece of Denver history for decades to come.
