That’s why so many property owners turn to Premier Restoration & Construction—a local team known for delivering quality workmanship, honest guidance, and long-lasting results.
Home Roof Replacement Frequently Asked Questions
Premier Restoration and Construction in Denver, CO knows that replacing a roof is a significant investment and can feel overwhelming. That’s why they tackle common roof replacement questions upfront. Their FAQs cover everything from recognizing when it’s time for a new roof—such as extensive shingle damage or persistent leaks—to understanding replacement costs and the key factors.
Several signs indicate that your roof may need replacing:
Age of the Roof – Asphalt shingle roofs typically last 20-25 years, while metal and tile roofs can last longer.
Missing or Damaged Shingles – If you notice cracked, curled, or missing shingles, it may be time for a new roof.
Granule Loss – Excess granules in your gutters or on the ground indicate shingle deterioration.
Leaks and Water Damage – If you see water stains on your ceiling or walls, your roof may be failing.
Sagging Roof – A sagging roofline suggests structural damage and requires immediate attention.
Moss or Algae Growth – While some growth is normal, excessive moss can trap moisture and lead to rot.
Frequent Repairs – If you find yourself fixing roof issues repeatedly, a replacement may be more cost-effective.

Spring and Fall – These are ideal seasons for roof replacement because of moderate temperatures and minimal weather disruptions.
Summer – Early summer is a good option, but extreme heat in late summer can make shingles more difficult to install properly.
Winter – Roof replacement is possible in winter, but cold temperatures can affect materials like asphalt shingles, making them brittle and harder to install. Some contractors offer discounts during the slower winter months.
Ultimately, scheduling in advance with a trusted roofing contractor ensures a timely installation with minimal delays.
Yes, you can usually stay in your home during a roof replacement, but be prepared for:
Noise – The process is loud, so working from home or sleeping during the day may be difficult.
Vibrations – Hammering and machinery can cause vibrations inside your home, so remove fragile items from shelves.
Limited Access – Workers, materials, and equipment may take up space in your driveway or yard.
Safety Considerations – If you have children or pets, ensure they stay indoors or away from the work area.
If noise and disruption are concerns, you may prefer to stay elsewhere for a day or two while the project is completed.
If repairs are becoming frequent, damage is widespread, or the roof is nearing the end of its expected lifespan, replacement is often the smarter long-term investment. Replacing the roof can prevent hidden structural damage, improve energy efficiency, and restore full warranty protection.

Jake and his team were great with the water damage assessment, the window frame/trim repair, drywall repair, and full resealing of all of our exterior windows. Fair quote, showed up on time, clear communication, and went above and beyond with pictures and details of what they found and exactly what was fixed. I'll be a repeat customer in the future.Posted on Google![]()

5 stars — Great work, fair price, and a clean job site We had our roof replaced after storm damage from last year and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and finished the job in a day and a half as promised. They walked me through the whole process upfront — materials, timeline, and cost — with no surprises on the final bill. The workmanship is excellent and they took the time to make sure everything was done right. They also did a thorough cleanup at the end, which I really appreciated since they had to work around our landscaping. Communication was great from the initial estimate through the final walkthrough, and they even handled the insurance paperwork side of things for us. If you’re looking for a reliable roofing company that does quality work at a fair price, I’d definitely recommend giving them a call. We’ll be using them again if we ever need any other work done. Thank you Jake Taton.Posted on Google![]()
